A ‘Janata Darbar’ (Public Grievance Redressal Session) was organized at the Rishiparna Auditorium under the chairmanship of Dehradun District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan; this session will now be observed every Monday as ‘Samadhan Diwas’ (Resolution Day). During the session, the District Magistrate heard 132 complaints and issued directives for their expeditious resolution.
Key Highlights:
• **Online Tracking and High-Level Cell:** Public grievances will now be registered on the Chief Minister’s Helpline Portal and tracked online. Directives have been issued to constitute a high-level special cell at the district level to facilitate the fast-track resolution of land disputes.
• **Focus on Health and Remote Areas:** The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) was directed to ensure special monitoring of pregnant women residing in villages lacking road connectivity. Instructions were also issued to launch the ‘Khushiyon Ki Sawari’ ambulance service in Chakrata, Kwansi, and Lakhamandal, and to take action regarding the proposal for introducing bus services on the Jolly-Thano route.
• **Action on Grievances of the Elderly and Victims:** Directives for immediate action were issued to the Police and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) regarding a tenant dispute involving 89-year-old ex-serviceman Radheshyam, as well as a complaint regarding illegal encroachment filed by Bharat Bhushan Mittal. Additionally, the SDM was asked to coordinate with the school administration regarding a case where a student’s certificates were being withheld due to the inability to pay school fees.
