The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) sealed three buildings in Rishikesh and Doiwala as part of its crackdown on illegal and unauthorized construction.
Key sealing actions:
• Rishikesh (Maniram Road): A building owned by Jaiprakash was sealed due to construction carried out in violation of the approved plan.
• Rishikesh (Nirmal Block-B): Action was taken against Om Prakash’s building after deviations from the sanctioned plan were found on the first floor, above the shops.
• Doiwala (Dudhli Road): A building owned by Anil Panchal Vishwakarma was sealed because construction on the ground and first floors had been carried out without obtaining plan approval.
MDDA Vice-Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari and Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia made it clear that unauthorized construction in the area would not be tolerated. They urged citizens to obtain mandatory approvals before commencing construction and to adhere strictly to the sanctioned plans, warning that strict legal action would otherwise continue.
