A review meeting regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process was held at the Dehradun Collectorate auditorium, chaired by Chief Development Officer (CDO) Abhinav Shah. It was reported that notices had been issued to 547,942 voters—identified as having anomalies or “no-mapping” issues—out of the 1,190,805 voters listed in the draft rolls across the district’s 10 assembly constituencies. Hearings have been concluded in over 5.25 lakh (approximately 96%) of these cases.
Key Highlights:
• Claims and Objections: A total of 59,978 applications under Forms 6, 7, and 8 were received between July 15 and August 13.
• Timely Disposal: The CDO issued instructions for the hearing of remaining cases and the high-quality, transparent disposal of claims and objections.
• Record Verification: Officials were directed to ensure proper verification in cases involving “no-mapping” and anomalies so that no eligible voter’s name is left out.
