Congress state spokesperson Dr. Pratima Singh has categorically dismissed the BJP’s propaganda and the “apologize” drama surrounding a viral video of MLA Madan Singh Bisht. She clarified that the MLA did not use any abusive language, and the question of an apology does not arise. The Congress accused the BJP of distorting facts through selective and edited video clips.
Terming this a calculated conspiracy by the BJP, Dr. Pratima Singh stated that the government is playing the “victim card” to divert public attention from fundamental issues such as unemployment, inflation, and the crumbling law-and-order situation. The Congress asserts that the BJP is adopting a dictatorial attitude to stifle the opposition’s voice—a stance to which the party’s leaders will not bow.
Issuing an open challenge to the BJP, the Congress stated that instead of burning effigies, the party should provide answers regarding issues like state development, employment, and road infrastructure. The party emphasized that it is accountable to the court of the people, not to the BJP’s false agenda.
