The BJP Mahila Morcha, led by State President Ruchi Bhatt, expressed its gratitude to the Uttarakhand Police and the Pushkar Singh Dhami government for the prompt arrest of an individual operating under the name “Pahad Premi Rajendra Uttarakhandi.” The accused had been posting derogatory and offensive comments against women and Mahila Morcha activists on social media.
A delegation of Mahila Morcha office-bearers and workers visited the Dalanwala police station today to formally thank police officials for their swift and effective action. Ruchi Bhatt emphasized that the state government has sent a clear message that there is no place for those who disrespect women. She stated that by bringing the offender to justice, the government has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the dignity of ‘Matrushakti’ (motherhood/women).
Bhatt further noted that the police handled the matter with extreme sensitivity and urgency, following the constitutional protests raised by the Mahila Morcha across the state. She asserted that under CM Dhami’s leadership, the rule of law prevails in Uttarakhand, and such legal actions serve as a stern warning to those attempting to harass women under the guise of social media. The Mahila Morcha pledged to remain vigilant in safeguarding women’s honor and fighting against any anti-women sentiment.
