Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the “Inclusive Education Mission-2030” by Shine Avi Learning at a hotel on Rajpur Road, Dehradun, on Sunday. During the event, he unveiled a new visual learning curriculum, including books and teaching materials specifically designed for children with special needs.
Addressing the gathering, CM Dhami praised the initiative as a significant step toward making education more accessible and effective. He highlighted that under the National Education Policy-2020, the state government is prioritizing innovation, smart classrooms, and ICT labs to build students’ confidence. He noted that the state currently supports approximately 5,800 children with special needs across various schools and has appointed over 300 special educators to ensure quality instruction.
The Chief Minister commended educationist Anita Sharma for her decision to return to Uttarakhand from abroad to drive innovation in the state’s education sector, calling her journey an inspiration for other migrants. Highlighting the state’s progress, CM Dhami mentioned Uttarakhand’s leadership in implementing the Uniform Civil Code, achieving top ranks in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and enforcing strict anti-copying laws. He emphasized that the ultimate goal is to prepare children not just for exams, but for life. The event was attended by MLA Munna Singh Chauhan, senior officials, and various dignitaries.
