A delegation of 585 candidates selected for the Assistant Teacher (L.T.) recruitment examination-2024 in Uttarakhand met with Suryakant Dhasmana, Senior Vice-President of the State Congress, and submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister.
The candidates pointed out that despite the release of revised results on August 20, 2024, and the expiration of the three-month deadline (September 3) set by the High Court, the UKSSSC has yet to announce a date for document verification (DV). As a result, the selected candidates are facing significant mental and financial distress.
The candidates’ key demands include:
โข An appointment to meet with the Chief Minister.
โข Immediate announcement of the date for document verification.
โข Completion of the recruitment process to facilitate prompt appointments and the assumption of duties.
Describing this as a reflection of the government’s anti-youth mindset, Mr. Dhasmana warned that if the Education Department does not expedite the appointments, the Congress party will join the candidates in taking to the streets to launch a widespread protest
