Dehradun: This time the state has suffered a lot of economic loss due to rain and disaster in Uttarakhand. In view of which the Uttarakhand government has demanded an economic package of ₹ 5702 crores from the Center. For which a memorandum has also been submitted to the Home Ministry. Which has a complete report of the economic loss of the state. Now the team of the central government has reached Uttarakhand to take stock of the loss. This team will submit its report to the PMO as well as the central office. After this the Center will release the budget for Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, it is being told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi can also visit the disaster-affected areas of Uttarakhand on September 11.
The central team will visit Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Pauri Garhwal, Bageshwar, Nainital and Chamoli for inspection in all the disaster-affected areas of the state. Joint Secretary Home Ministry is present in this team. He is also leading the team. Apart from R Prasanna, the team includes Scheduled Sher Bahadur and Engineer Sudhir Kumar as well as Deputy Director Development Chief Engineer Pankaj Singh and Director Virendra Singh. All these officers will go to the ground in the disaster affected areas and take stock of the situation. Along with this, Uttarakhand Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman has also held a meeting with these officers.
A meeting of the team will be held in Dehradun after visiting Uttarakhand. In which the secretaries of all the departments of Uttarakhand will sit with the central team and give complete information. The central team will reach Delhi and give input to the central government about the situation in entire Uttarakhand.
On the other hand, according to BJP in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can also visit some other areas including Uttarkashi of Uttarakhand on September 11. The Prime Minister’s visit is related to taking stock of the situation there after the devastation in Jaura mountain. However, no confirmation has been made about this at the government level yet.
