District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan held a review meeting with all relevant departments regarding disaster management and dengue control during the monsoon season. He instructed officials to remain on high alert and to immediately address issues related to waterlogging and sanitation.
The DM directed the deployment of GPS-equipped JCB machines in vulnerable areas to tackle potential flooding and ordered that the availability of ambulances at disaster centers be ensured. Strict instructions were issued to the Municipal Corporation to increase the number of fogging machines and carry out anti-larval spraying to prevent dengue. ASHA workers have been tasked with conducting door-to-door surveys to screen for suspected fever cases.
The Education Department has been directed to ensure that anti-dengue measures are implemented in all schools. Students should be encouraged to wear full-sleeved clothing, and schools failing to comply with these guidelines will face action under the Epidemic Diseases Act. Additionally, the District Magistrate ordered all Sub-Divisional Magistrates to ensure the clearance of garbage dumps in their respective areas; officials found negligent will be held accountable.
