Rudraprayag:-The hotel operator insulted the 26-member team who arrived from Rajasthan for the darshan of Baba Kedar. The passengers have alleged that the operator threw their luggage out of the hotel and also assaulted them while abusing them. On the complaint of the passengers, the police arrested the hotel operator and sent him to jail. The police also challaned the guide.
On June 24, a woman passenger called the police and informed that she had come from Rajasthan on the Kedarnath Yatra with a 26-member team on June 22. The passenger crew had booked rooms at the To the Wild Hotel in Fata. He had left for Kedarnath on the morning of 23 after leaving luggage in the hotel. When Baba reached the Fata Hotel on June 24 after giving darshan to Kedar, the hotel operator had thrown his luggage outside. When asked, the hotel operator started making a ruckus by beating him.
Upon receiving the information, the police team reached the spot and saw that the hotel operator Akash Tyagi, a resident of B-710 Balmukund Residency, Rajnagar, Extension Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, Hall Niwas Fata, was making a ruckus. The police tried to explain but he did not listen to one. The police arrested the accused and brought him to Guptkashi police station. From here, after being produced in the court of Deputy District Magistrate Ukhimath, the accused was sent to Pursari jail in judicial custody.
