The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has taken strict action against illegal plotting and unauthorized construction. On Monday, an MDDA team deployed bulldozers at five locations—including Ghisarpatti, the Bullawala road area, Kurdakwala, and Kamboj Colony in the Doiwala region—to demolish unauthorized plotting being carried out on approximately 60 to 65 bighas of land without an approved layout.
Furthermore, cracking down on commercial developments that violate regulations, the authority sealed an illegal structure owned by Jagdish Chauhan at ‘Maggi Point,’ as well as the ‘Eden Wellness and Hospitality’ establishment on Purukul Road, which was being constructed in deviation from its approved building plan.
MDDA Vice-Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari and Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia stated that this drive will continue to ensure planned development within the city. They have urged the public not to purchase land that lacks an approved layout and to ensure that any construction work strictly adheres to prescribed standards.
