As part of the ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ (Cleanliness Fortnight) organized to mark the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi participated in a special cleanliness drive on Sunday at the Tapkeshwar Temple complex and the banks of the Tamsa River in Dehradun.
Minister Joshi, along with party workers from the Shaheed Durga Malla Mandal of the Mussoorie Assembly constituency and local residents, cleaned the temple premises and collected waste from the riverbank. While raising public awareness about cleanliness, he stated that cleanliness is not merely a government program but a continuous social commitment rooted in public participation. He emphasized that a clean environment is essential for a healthy society.
The Minister noted that the cleanliness campaign launched by the Prime Minister has evolved into a massive nationwide movement. He appealed to all citizens to make cleanliness a part of their daily routine and to actively contribute to realizing the vision of a ‘Clean India’ (Swachh Bharat). Several party office-bearers and workersโincluding Jyoti Kotia, Sameer Dobhal, Manoj Kshetri, and Alka Kulhanโalong with a large number of local citizens, were present on the occasion.
