Chamoli: Glaciers are melting rapidly in the high Himalayan regions, due to which the water level of Alaknanda and Saraswati rivers has increased. The police administration is asking the devotees reaching Keshav Prayag for Pushkar Kumbh to bathe at safe places only. Along with the water police, ITBP and Garhwal Scout soldiers have also been deployed at Prayag site for the safety of the devotees.
Gram Pradhan/Administrator of Mana village Pitambar Molfa says that the water level of the river is increasing. Thousands of devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana etc. are reaching for Kumbh bath and darshan of Saraswati temple.
On Sunday, about 8000 devotees took bath in Prayag and performed Pinddaan for their ancestors. So far more than 40 thousand devotees have earned the virtue of Pushkar Kumbh. After bathing in Prayag, devotees are also reaching for darshan of Badrinath Dham. Due to which there is a lot of hustle and bustle in the Dham.
