Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd) participated in a program organized by the Rashtriya Sainik Sansthan in Haridwar on Wednesday. During the event, students of Akhand Hind Fauj showcased an impressive parade and tableau. The Governor praised the participation of girls in the Akhand Hind Fauj, applauding their dedication and active involvement in drill and parade activities.
Governor’s Address on National Integration and Social Development
In his speech, Governor Gurmeet Singh lauded the efforts of Rashtriya Sainik Sansthan in promoting national integration, character building, and social welfare. He acknowledged the institution’s work in supporting martyr families, empowering ex-servicemen, eradicating social evils like addiction, and fostering moral values through education.
Emphasizing the significance of national unity, he stated:
“The foundation of a nation’s progress and prosperity lies in its unity and integrity. Our diversity is our strength, and when we prioritize the spirit of ‘Nation First,’ we can make the country invincible and fulfill the vision of a developed India.”
Call for Youth Participation and National Development
The Governor urged young people to focus on education, innovation, science, technology, and social service. He stressed that excellence in these fields will accelerate India’s progress toward becoming a developed nation. Additionally, he called on students and citizens to contribute to eradicating drug addiction, fostering moral values, and strengthening national unity.
“It is the duty of every citizen to maintain harmony and actively participate in the country’s development,” he remarked.
