Under the leadership of Dr. Anita Chamola, Divisional Transport Officer (Enforcement and Road Safety), Dehradun, a special inspection drive was conducted in the Haridwar region. As part of this campaign, intensive checks were carried out on passenger vehicles, private vehicles, and Transport Corporation buses arriving from other states.
During the drive, challans (fines) were issued to 97 vehicles for violating traffic and transport regulations, while 12 vehicles were impounded. The primary objective of this operation is to strengthen road safety and ensure the security of passengers.
Enforcement teams played an active role in this major campaign, including Assistant Divisional Transport Officer Ms. Neha Jha; Transport Tax Officers Mr. Bharat Bhushan (Chidiyapur), Ms. Varuna Saini (In-charge, Interceptor), Mr. Mukesh Arya (Govardhanpur), and Mr. Ravindra Saini.
Additionally, Divisional Transport Officer Dr. Anita Chamola conducted a surprise inspection of the Green Card Center located at Narsan on May 18, 2026, where all arrangements were found to be in order. Dr. Chamola has directed all enforcement teams to continue taking such strict action against violators on an ongoing basis.
