(SIR) program has been launched in Uttarakhand with the aim of making the electoral roll error-free and up-to-date.
In this context, Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam handed over the ‘enumeration form’ associated with this campaign to Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Secretariat.
The Chief Electoral Officer informed that this special campaign is being conducted across the state in accordance with the directives of the Election Commission of India. Its primary objective is the complete purification of the electoral roll. Under this process, enumeration forms will be distributed to every voter in the state.
A one-month timeframe has been set for the implementation of the campaign, during which all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are required to conduct door-to-door visits to collect these enumeration forms. Subsequently, the data from these forms will be digitized via the BLO App to ensure the electoral roll is completely accurate and transparent. Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Shri Mastu Das was also present on this occasion. Through this campaign, the state government is ensuring that the names of all eligible citizens are correctly registered in the electoral roll prior to the upcoming elections.
