AYUSH tele-consultation services will be launched in the state in the coming years. Fifty new yoga and wellness centers will be established, according to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He made this statement while virtually addressing the first Dhanvantari Mahotsav held in Mala Village, Yamkeshwar.
The Chief Minister stated that the “Herbal World Himalaya Shri Dhanvantari Dham,” established in Mala Village, is the only comprehensive center for Ayurveda and naturopathy in the world. This Dham will be a vibrant embodiment of India’s health culture, showcasing the health principles established by our great sages, along with nine major botanical systems and 964 other medical disciplines from around the world.
Work to promote Ayurveda
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this sacred site will be useful in the fields of Ayurveda, yoga, medicinal plants, and holistic health, and will play a key role in promoting innovation, research, and training in the field of naturopathy. He said, Ayurveda is a unique medical system in the world that has been ensuring the health of human civilization since ancient times.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working to promote Ayurveda in the state. More than 300 Ayushman Arogya Kendras based on Ayurveda are being operated in the state. Ayush hospitals with 50 and 10 beds are being established in every district. By implementing the Ayush policy in the state, concrete steps are being taken to promote pharmaceutical manufacturing, wellness, education, research, and the production and promotion of medicinal plants.
A grant of up to ₹10 lakh has been provided to promote research in the fields of yoga, meditation, and naturopathy. To promote Ayurvedic and naturopathy, yoga, and spiritual tourism, one Spiritual Economic Zone each is being established in the Garhwal and Kumaon divisions.
