Amidst the announcement of a CBI investigation into the graduate-level exam paper leak and the ongoing STF investigation, the Subordinate Services Selection Commission has issued a clarification. The Commission has clarified that there is no scope for error in its examinations.
The Commission has issued a communication responding to questions raised about the graduate-level exam held on September 21st. The Commission states that to maintain the purity, transparency, and confidentiality of examinations, confidential exam materials are kept in a double lock in the respective treasury through the district administration and are transported to the examination center under police custody.
The Commission also stated that it installs jammers at all examination centers. The jammer was working at the Haridwar examination center, even though a previous STF investigation had revealed that the jammer was not working in that room. The Commission Secretary stated that the original and duplicate OMR sheets used in the examination are sealed under CCTV surveillance in the control room at the respective examination center. If someone’s original OMR sheet is blank, they will not benefit from it later.
The Commission Secretary clarified that those who compromised the integrity of the examination have been arrested with the help of the police. An SIT investigation is underway. The government has given consent for a CBI investigation. He assured that the Commission conducts examinations with complete integrity, transparency, and confidentiality. Graduate-level examinations were also conducted in a similar manner. There is no scope for any unethical activity. Nevertheless, if anyone with a criminal mindset attempts to cheat in the examination, action is taken against them
