Patna: The swearing-in ceremony for the new Nitish Kumar government concluded at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Bihar. In the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several top NDA leaders, Nitish Kumar created history by taking oath as Bihar’s Chief Minister for the 10th time. He was joined by 26 ministers.
Nitish Kumar and his team: When Nitish Kumar took the oath, the entire Gandhi Maidan reverberated with slogans of “Nitish Kumar Zindabad.” Following Nitish Kumar, the Governor administered the oath of office to Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha, making them the Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar. A total of 26 ministers have been appointed. Those sworn in include Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Shravan Kumar, Mangal Pandey, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, Leshi Singh, Ashok Chaudhary.
Also included are Madan Sahni, Nitin Naveen, Ramkripal Yadav, Sunil Kumar, Santosh Kumar Suman, Jama Khan, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Sumit Nishad, Narayan Prasad, Lakhendra Kumar Roshan, Dr. Pramod Kumar, Shailesh Kumar Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Sanjay Kumar Singh, and Deepak Prakash. Ministers from JDU quota: Eight ministers from Nitish Kumar’s party, JDU, were sworn in at the swearing-in ceremony. Those sworn in as ministers from JDU include Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Shravan Kumar, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Ashok Chaudhary, Leshi Singh, Mohammad Jama Khan, Madan Sahni, and Dr. Pramod Kumar. Ministers from BJP quota: A total of 14 ministers from the BJP were sworn in at the swearing-in ceremony. The leaders who have been made ministers include Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Mangal Pandey, Dr Dilip Jaiswal, Nitin Naveen, Ramkripal Yadav, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Lakhendra Kumar Roshan, Narayan Prasad, Rama Nishad, Shreyasi Singh and Dr Pramod Kumar. Ministers from Chirag, Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha also: Apart from this, Sanjay Kumar and Sanjay Kumar Singh from Chirag Paswan’s party LJPR were sworn in. One minister each has been made from Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM Party and Upendra Kushwaha’s RLM. Manjhi’s son Santosh Kumar Suman was sworn in as a minister. Deepak Prakash from RLM has been made a minister.
