A multi-purpose health camp was organized in Chakrata on Monday as part of the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ (Fortnight of Service), an initiative driven by the resolve of ‘Service, Good Governance, and Dedication.’ The primary objective of this camp was to provide free and accessible healthcare facilities to local residents.
Key highlights of the camp:
• Health Screenings: A total of 91 beneficiaries availed themselves of health services at the camp. Screenings were conducted for conditions such as hypertension and diabetes, and 57 individuals were screened for oral cancer.
• Specialized Consultations: Two Antenatal Care (ANC) check-ups were performed, and 45 adolescent girls received specialized counseling to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene.
• Other Services: Under various health programs, 41 people received medical consultations, and 44 beneficiaries underwent blood tests. Additionally, all 91 participants were provided with general health advice.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma stated that through ‘Seva Pakhwada,’ the department aims to extend healthcare services to the remotest corners of the district. He emphasized the department’s continuous effort to encourage citizens to utilize these camps, thereby fostering health awareness and enabling the timely detection and treatment of diseases
