Taking a strict stance against illegal construction, the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) sealed two platforms in the Mussoorie area that were being built without approved blueprints.
According to the Authority, the landowner, Hemant Kumar, was constructing two platforms using iron channels without permission on the Mussoorie-Dehradun highway, beyond the Hanuman Temple. After failing to receive a satisfactory response to the issued notice, the Authority took action and sealed both platforms.
MDDA Vice-Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari emphasized that ensuring the city’s planned development and adherence to established standards is a priority. Actions such as sealing and demolition will continue against those who violate the rules.
Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia appealed to the public to obtain due approval for blueprints and necessary permissions from the Authority before commencing any construction work, in order to avoid legal action.
