Acting on the Chief Minister’s directives, the district administration and the Food Safety Department conducted an intensive, district-wide raid campaign against adulterated food products on Tuesday. Joint teams, constituted under the orders of District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan, collected a total of 21 food samples for testing from various establishments across the Dehradun Municipal Corporation, Vikasnagar, and Mussoorie areas.
During the operation, nine samplesโincluding *mawa*, *rabri*, *rasgulla*, and *kaju barfi*โwere collected from Bikanervala, Haldiram, and Kumar Sweet Shop located on Chakrata Road and at Ghantaghar. Meanwhile, nine samples comprising *paneer*, *mawa*, and milk cake were collected from the Vikasnagar area, and three kilograms of stale, artificially colored *laddus* were destroyed. Three samples of tea, *besan* (gram flour), and *paneer* were collected from the Mussoorie area.
The District Magistrate emphasized that providing safe and pure food products to the public is a priority and that the campaign against food adulteration will continue in the future.
