Today, on 27th July 2025, Municipal Commissioner of Dehradun Municipal Corporation, Smt. Namami Bansal (IAS) conducted a surprise inspection of the Municipal Corporation workshop located at Mayur Vihar in view of complaints of negligence in the regular maintenance of door-to-door garbage collection vehicles.
During the inspection, the Municipal Commissioner gave instructions to ensure accountability of the employees posted in the workshop and clearly ordered that the repair and maintenance work of all door-to-door garbage collection vehicles should be completed within three days.
Apart from this, instructions were given to prepare a separate report of those vehicles which cannot be repaired in the workshop within three days and send it to the concerned companies so that they can be repaired immediately and put back into service.
The Municipal Commissioner also clarified that no kind of hindrance or delay in the door-to-door garbage collection service will be acceptable, and responsibility will be fixed if negligence is found at any level in this work.
