Nainital: Dehradun-based builder and industrialist Sudhir Kumar Windlas has suffered another setback. A division bench of Justice Pankaj Purohit in the case did not grant any relief to Sudhir Windlas and his two other associates while hearing the third bail plea. The next hearing in the case will be in the first week of July.
Sudhir Windlas gave this reference for bail: During the hearing today i.e. on June 23, it was said on behalf of builder Sudhir Windlass that he is 72 years old. His health is not good. On the court’s order, the jail is undergoing treatment at the Himalayan Hospital in Jouligrant. Therefore, his bail plea should be heard soon. So that they can be acquitted of this case.
He further said that those who have framed him are also in jail. Their image has been damaged by making fake documents on behalf of those people. However, he is a respected businessman from Dehradun. No fraud was committed on their part.
Builder Sudhir Windlass said that those who committed fraud in his name are still in jail. The sale deed of the land has been obtained in his name in a fake manner. This feat was achieved in his name. Which they have to bear the brunt.
The arrest was made by the CBI in December 2023: Let us tell you that on a complaint of fake land, the state government conducted a CBI inquiry into the case, which was found correct in the investigation. In this case, the CBI court in Dehradun found the three accused (including Sudhir Windlas) guilty and sentenced them. After which two others, including Sudhir Kumar, challenged in the High Court for their bail.
On the other hand, after the CBI investigation, Windlas and his three associates were found accused in this forgery. After which, on December 21, 2023, the CBI arrested Sudhir Windlass. Windlas did not get any relief after the trial was held in the CBI’s special court. His bail plea was rejected a year ago.
