Dr. Ashish Chauhan, CEO of Smart City Limited and District Magistrate (DM), has taken a stern stance regarding the delay in the construction of Uttarakhand’s first integrated green building. Noting that only 40.5 percent of the work has been completed despite the availability of adequate funds, the DM has directed the Chief Engineer of the CPWD to conduct a high-level inquiry and recover costs from those found responsible.

• Timeline and Review: Directions given to accelerate pending tasks—such as external sewerage, tiling, and door fittings—by increasing manpower and machinery; the DM will personally review progress every 15 days.
• E-bus Operations: The DM ordered that regular operations of Smart City e-buses on designated routes be ensured and sought an explanation regarding any non-operational buses.
