In accordance with the directives of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Secretary-in-Charge Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar conducted a detailed review of the arrangements for the Kedarnath Dham Yatra via a virtual meeting. The District Magistrate of Rudraprayag reported that the pilgrimage is proceeding smoothly and that the supply of drinking water and electricity remains normal.
Key Directives:
• Health Services: Assurance was given to promptly address the shortage of specialist doctors along the pilgrimage route, ensuring that pilgrims receive timely and high-quality medical care during emergencies.
• Animal Welfare: Instructions were issued to ensure regular health monitoring and medical care for the horses and mules used during the pilgrimage, as well as adherence to standards regarding humane treatment.
• Basic Amenities: Emphasis was placed on the continuous monitoring of drinking water, electricity, sanitation, traffic management, and security arrangements along the route and at halting points.
• Departmental Coordination: All concerned departments were directed to work in close coordination and ensure the immediate resolution of even the smallest issues faced by pilgrims
