For the first time in the state, tribal school students will be studying the Gita. The tribal school in Jhajhra has included the Bhagavad Gita in its curriculum, making it the first school in the state to include it as part of the curriculum.
The Doon Sanskriti School, a tribal school in Jhajhra, will now teach the Gita along with mathematics, Hindi, and English. Acharya Ankit Arya of Paunda Gurukul has been appointed for this purpose. Former MP Tarun Vijay stated that inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call and the gift of the Gita to Russian President Putin, the school has decided to make the Gita compulsory.
The Bhagavad Gita has now been made part of the daily curriculum. This curriculum has been made compulsory for students from grades four to ten. Former MP Tarun Vijay has appealed for this to become a nationwide movement and for regular teaching of the Gita in all schools. Sudhir Gulati, head of the Arya Samaj Mandir Dhamawala, supported this initiative.
Gita classes will be held like Hindi and math classes. The tribal school will now offer Gita lessons, along with Hindi and math classes. Lectures on the Gita will be held every day. This course began on Saturday. Students from Nagaland, Manipur, and Northeast Asia also attend this school.
