Banshidhar Tiwari, Vice Chairman of the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA), is constantly in the news for his active leadership and exemplary work ethic. He remained busy even on holidays to accelerate the city’s beautification campaign. On Sunday morning, Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari personally inspected development projects in the Rajpur Road and Dilaram Chowk areas and expressed satisfaction with the quality of the work.
*MDDA engaged in revamping the city’s main roads*
The MDDA is currently working to beautify the capital’s major roads. Painting dividers, planting trees, and creating murals on walls on Rajpur Road is progressing rapidly. The walls from Dilaram Chowk to Hathibarkala are now adorned with colorful paintings, conveying the message of cleanliness and environmental protection to passersby. The Authority’s aim is to ensure that every corner of Dehradun reflects the identity of a “clean and green city.”

During the inspection, Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari interacted with officials and workers. He reviewed the pace and quality of work and clearly stated that development should not be confined to files. The MDDA’s goal is to ensure it can be felt on roads, walls, and in civic life. He instructed officials to ensure all projects are completed within deadlines and in accordance with quality standards. He also called for the involvement of local artists and citizens in this initiative.
*Enthusiasm Increased Among Officials and Employees*
Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari’s presence on the ground significantly energized the employees and workers deployed at the site. Workers expressed that having officials personally visit the site and inquire about their work increases both responsibility and enthusiasm. Following Rajpur Road, the MDDA is also planning to begin beautification work along similar lines in Dilaram Chowk, Hathibarkala, EC Road, Saharanpur Road, and the ISBT area.

Banshidhar Tiwari stated that Dehradun is not just the capital, but the identity of Uttarakhand. He stated that our goal is to make Dehradun a clean, well-organized, and beautiful city. This is impossible without the participation of citizens. These efforts by the MDDA are now clearly visible in the city’s appearance.
