SSP Ajay Singh said that the investigation into the leak of the graduate-level recruitment exam question paper has so far revealed the involvement of three individuals: Khalid Malik, a candidate, his sister Heena, and Suman, an assistant professor. Both women are being questioned. A case has been registered at the Raipur police station under the Uttarakhand Competitive Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Ordinance, 2023.
In response to the leak of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission’s graduate-level recruitment exam question paper on Sunday, the Dehradun police and the commission held a late-night press conference and revealed that only one set of the paper was leaked from a center in Haridwar and for one candidate. No major gang was involved, so the integrity of the entire exam is not in question. This paper was only distributed to a few people.
The paper was leaked so that answers to the questions could be provided to them.
The investigation and search for Khalid and the students he came in contact with is ongoing. A special investigation team has been formed and is raiding possible hideouts of the suspects. It is expected that Khalid will be arrested by late night. Khalid is the mastermind of the entire scandal, having sat for the exam at a center in Haridwar. It is suspected that the paper was leaked to him so that he could access the answers.
Screenshots of the paper reached Khalid’s sister from the center. The sister sent the screenshots to Assistant Professor Suman and asked for answers. Suman sent the answers, but later, becoming suspicious, went to the police, but before that, she spoke with Bobby Panwar.
It is alleged that Bobby prevented her from going to the police and publicized the issue of the paper leak. The SSP claimed that three key links in this scandal have been uncovered. Whether female professor Suman was a victim of a conspiracy or was intentionally involved in the conspiracy will become clear after questioning Khalid.
