A delegation of the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD), led by Central Executive President Jaiprakash Upadhyay, met Devendra Singh, the Chief Engineer of the CPWD. The delegation demanded an independent inquiry and a technical-financial audit regarding irregularities in various construction projects—including ‘green building’ initiatives—being executed by the CPWD in the state.
Central General Secretary Rajendra Singh Bisht raised concerns regarding the disregard for established standards. City President Prabin Chand Ramola stated that companies found guilty of substandard work should be blacklisted and that the role of responsible officials should be impartially investigated.
The delegation made it clear that any compromise on transparency and quality in the utilization of public funds would not be tolerated. Several office bearers and party workers, including Devchand Uttarakhandi, Raghuvir Rana, Latapath Hussain, and Kapil Kumar, were present on the occasion.
