The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has intensified its campaign against illegal construction and unauthorized land plotting in the area. As part of this initiative, MDDA Vice-Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari conducted a field inspection of the Pachvadoon region and carried out a detailed review of ongoing construction activities.
During the inspection, the Vice-Chairman issued clear instructions to officials that no construction deviating from approved plans would be spared. He assessed the status of pending complaints and ongoing construction works with the officials present at the site. The primary objective of this campaign is to ensure planned urban development and take strict legal action against rule violators.
Vice-Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari appealed to the public to obtain the necessary approvals from the authority before commencing any construction work. MDDA Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia stated that the authority’s teams are maintaining constant surveillance and that complaints are being resolved on a priority basis. Other senior officials and staff members of the department, including Joint Secretary Gaurav Chatwal, were also present during the visit. This firm stance by the authority will prove instrumental in curbing illegal construction in the future.
