Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi conducted an on-site inspection of the damaged bridge at Mandakini Vihar in Chidowali. Taking note of the subsidence on the bridge, he directed officials to immediately carry out filling work and install safety barricades at the affected spot to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
Minister Joshi instructed Public Works Department (PWD) officials to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of a new bridge and submit it to the government within a week, so that reconstruction work could commence promptly.
He emphasized that public safety is the government’s top priority. Strict instructions were issued to ensure there is no negligence in the repair work for the bridgeโdamaged due to rainsโand the surrounding areas.
Local residents, along with BJP leaders Surendra Rana and Kuldeep Rawat, PWD Superintending Engineer Ompal Singh, and Executive Engineer BN Dwivedi, were present during the inspection.
