Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today participated in the fifth anniversary program of the New Education Policy 2020 organized at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Birpur, Dehradun. On this occasion, Minister Ganesh Joshi also observed the creative works prepared by the students in various arts and unveiled the plaque of Utkrishta PM Shri Vidyalaya Birpur.
Addressing the program, he said that the New Education Policy 2020 has replaced the 34-year-old National Education Policy 1986 and has initiated a transformational change in the education system of India. Minister Ganesh Joshi said that before this only two education policies were implemented in India in the years 1968 and 1986. He said that the aim of the new education policy is to prepare students for the global challenges of the 21st century. Under this policy, vocational education will be started from class 6 itself, so that students will be prepared for various trades, skills and entrepreneurship. He said that the policy also provides for the establishment of a National Educational Technology Platform to promote digital literacy and technological inclusion in teaching. This policy emphasizes on the physical, mental and emotional development of students and promotes critical thinking and creativity in them.
Cabinet Minister Joshi said that if this policy approved by the Union Cabinet is fully implemented, India will soon emerge as a global knowledge center and join the category of leading countries. During this, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi also gave the children the basic mantra of 05-D to be successful in life and also inspired the children to move forward in life. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that along with studies, it is also important to have sports. He said that along with education, it is also very important to have moral education and character education. He said that if you want to be modern, then be modern in thoughts. Expressing confidence, he said that this policy will bring about a comprehensive change in the education system of India.
