Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority, Haridwar successfully organized the “Swachh Haridwar Abhiyan” under the Swachhata Maha Abhiyan. A mega cleanliness campaign was launched under the leadership of Vice President and Secretary, Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority, Haridwar. A special cleanliness campaign was organized under the Swachhata Abhiyan today from 6.00 am in the morning in Tulsi Chowk, Dam Kothi, Shankaracharya Chowk, Rodi Belwala, Om Bridge etc. areas, ghats and roads through cleaning, garbage disposal, sweeping, water sprinkling etc. The said work was done by dividing the authority personnel into sectors and forming teams accordingly. In this cleanliness campaign, the registered contractors of the authority also provided their invaluable support with manpower and machinery etc. On this occasion, Vice President, Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority, Haridwar said that “It is the collective responsibility of all of us to maintain the religious and cultural dignity of Haridwar city. Cleanliness should be adopted not only as a campaign but also as a mass movement. Secretary, Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority, Haridwar said that cleanliness of construction site, roads, squares and other public places is our top priority.
The cleanliness drive run by the authority is an important initiative towards making the city clean, safe and convenient for the devotees.
