There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in the hill districts of Uttarakhand today (Sunday) and tomorrow (Monday). The Meteorological Center has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rains in some parts of Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Pauri districts.
Apart from this, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rains in Dehradun, Tehri, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh, Haridwar, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Almora. There are also chances of lightning and strong winds at the speed of 40-50 km per hour. A warning of heavy rain has also been issued in the coming days.
39 roads closed due to debris after rain
39 roads are closed in the state due to debris after rain. Out of these, 34 roads are in rural areas. According to the State Emergency Operations Center, efforts are being made to open the closed roads.
