The Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court sentenced Laxman Singh, who became a teacher in Janta Inter College Devnagar with a fake B.Ed degree, to five years in jail. Along with this, a fine of ten thousand rupees was also imposed. 26 teachers working in the education department in the district with fake B.Ed degrees have been sent to jail so far.
After the hearing was completed in the district court on Tuesday, Chief Judicial Magistrate Ashok Saini found the accused dismissed teacher Laxman Singh guilty of getting a job with a fake B.Ed degree and sentenced him. He sentenced the accused to five years in jail. Along with this, a fine of 10 thousand rupees was also imposed. He was ordered to send him to Pursari jail in judicial custody. The prosecution officer said that Laxman Singh had obtained a B.Ed degree from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh in the year 2003.
On the basis of this degree, he got a job as an assistant teacher in Janta Inter College Devnagar. When the department conducted an SIT investigation on the complaint, the teacher’s B.Ed degree was found to be fake. On this, the department first suspended the teacher and later dismissed him and also filed a case of fraud with the police.
