Akhada Parishad welcomed Operation Kalanemi: Shri Mahant Ravindra Puri, President of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, the highest organization of saints and sages, has supported Operation Kalanemi. Describing it as an important drive, he said that this will curb all those who were cheating people in the name of religion during Kanwar, whether they were in saffron attire or in other guises. He welcomed this decision taken by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Mahant Ravindra Puri said that this drive should be started not only in Uttarakhand but in the whole of India. These people used to activate themselves on religious festivals and also used to corrupt the religion of innocent people. He said that with this drive all these people will be in jail and people’s faith will not be tampered with. Mahant Ravindra Puri narrated his experience: Sharing his experience, Shri Mahant Ravindra Puri told that he himself has felt and seen it. Many people were asking for money from people by wearing saffron and different colored clothes. Neither were they associated with any religious institution. Nor were they from any Akhara. They were taking the help of religion in this way only to earn money and cheat people, which is wrong. This operation will put a stop to all these people and I hope that soon the police will take major action and send all of them to jail.
