Dehradun: A major action is being taken in the over-rating case at a liquor shop in Mussoorie. In fact, a day earlier, the case of over-rating in a liquor store in Mussoorie had come to light. In which there was a fight between the salesman and the buyers. After which some people were injured. A major action is being prepared by issuing a notice to the operator of the shop on the incident.
ETV India had published this news prominently after the case of over-rating in a Mussoorie liquor shop came to light. There was also a scuffle between the salesman of the shop and the buyers of the liquor in the case. In which some people were also injured. The entire matter reached the police. Following this, the police is investigating the case.
The special thing is that this is not the first time such a complaint has been made outside liquor stores about over ratings. Often cases of over rating have come to light many times. The District Magistrate of Dehradun has also caught such cases during a surprise inspection. The big thing is that despite this, the over-rating on liquor stores is not stopping.
Excise Commissioner Anuradha Pal said the matter has been taken cognizance. Strict action is being prepared on the case. The notice has been issued so far, he said. According to the rules in the case, a fine of ₹100000 is imposed for the first time and the second time the license is revoked. The case is currently being investigated. The excise department will take action according to whatever situation comes to light in the investigation.
In all places, including Dehradun, not only cases of overrating in liquor shops have come to light, but also illegally serving liquor in bars have been reported. These cases have been caught many times at the district administration level as well. The excise department is not able to stop such illegal activities. Perhaps this is the reason why campaigns are also being run for this in many places. In which it has been claimed to catch even raw liquor.
