Dehradun/Bajpur:- The dead body of an army jawan who drowned in Gullabhoj river in Udham Singh Nagar has been recovered. This morning, the SDRF team pulled it out of the river after a lot of struggle. At present, further action is being taken by taking the dead body into custody.
According to the information, on June 22, the police had received a tip that a jawan posted in the army had drowned in the Gullabhoj river in the Bajpur area. On receiving this information, SDRF i.e. State Disaster Response Force personnel immediately reached the spot along with a police team. The rescue operation was carried out, but due to the darkness and strong current, nothing was found of the drowned jawan. In such a situation, the rescue had to be stopped.
The jawan, who was a resident of Bengaluru, was rescued again this morning. In which the team succeeded and the body of the drowned jawan was recovered and handed over to the district police. The jawan who drowned in the Gularbhoj river was identified as Himanshu Mishra, a resident of Bengaluru (Karnataka). Himanshu was posted in the Army Supply Corps of the Indian Army. Who were currently serving in Haldwani. He was transferred to Haldwani some time ago.
