On the 11th International Yoga Day, Uttarakhand and the country got the gift of the first yoga policy. During this, the CM launched the yoga policy and announced the establishment of two new yoga cities in the hilly areas and the establishment of two spiritual economic zones. He said, this Sanjeevani of the hilly state will benefit the whole world.
The Yoga Day held on Saturday at Bhararisan in the summer capital Garsan was historic in many ways. On the one hand, the ambassadors of eight allied nations, other representatives including the High Commissioner arrived in the summer capital of Uttarakhand, on the other hand, the state and the country got the gift of the first yoga policy.
Along with this, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the settlement of two new yoga cities in the mountainous area from Bhararisan. Which will establish the special identity of the state on the global map by becoming the center of Ayurveda and spirituality. It will invite large groups, spiritual gurus, institutions working in the field of wellness from all over the world.
He said that the state government will soon establish one spiritual economic zone each in Garhwal and Kumaon division to promote Ayurvedic and natural medicine, yoga and spiritual tourism in the state.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has resolved that five new yoga hubs should be established in the state by the year 2030 and the availability of yoga services should be ensured in all AYUSH health and wellness centers in the state by March 2026.
