Dehradun-:Even though the monsoon is still some time away in Uttarakhand, the pre-monsoon rains are bringing relief from the heat across the state. Heavy rains are expected in most parts of the state on Friday as well.
According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Centre, a yellow alert for rain has been issued in some parts of Dehradun and Tehri district. Besides, light rain with strong thunderstorms is likely to occur in some parts of Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Almora and Nainital district.
Meteorologist Rohit Thapliyal said that after Uttar Pradesh, the monsoon is likely to reach Uttarakhand in a day or two. However, good pre-monsoon rains are expected before this. The weather will remain the same across the state till June 24. On Thursday, several districts of the state, including Dehradun, received rain. Due to which people got a lot of relief from the heat.
