Pithoragarh: A jawan died after falling into a ditch. The jawan was a resident of Chhattisgarh and was posted at Jamtri post. In the morning, when the jawan was searched for the absence of the jawan in Raulkaul, the jawan was found unconscious in the ditch. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead after examination.
It is noteworthy that Rakshi Shivpal (30 years) son Inderjit, a resident of village and post Biliban, district Vilaspur Chhattisgarh, was found unconscious in a ditch behind the camp. He was immediately rushed to the district hospital by the authorities, where doctors declared him dead after examination. It is being reported that the deceased jawan has a mother, father and elder brother at home. All officers including Commandant Ashish Kumar and all the jawans of the 55th Corps paid tributes to the deceased jawan. The assistant commandant said that the mortal remains of the deceased jawan are being sent to his home in Chhattisgarh.
Prima facie, the reason for the death of the young man is symbolizing falling into the ditch while looking for the signal on the phone. In this area adjacent to the Nepal border, there is a GO tower, whose signals are hardly found anywhere. It is likely that the young man went out in the dark to talk on the phone and fell out of control into a 50-meter-deep ravine in search of the signal. According to Assistant Commandant A Company Jamtari Shivji Lal, the search for jawan Shivpal was conducted after he was absent during the Raulkaul last morning. During the search, Shivpal was found fallen in the ditch.
