Haridwar: A major fire broke out at a cracker factory in Haridwar’s Bahadrabad area on Tuesday. As soon as the fire was reported, the fire officials based at the Bahadrabad Fire Station, Sidkul Fire Station and Mayapur left for the spot with their team.
According to eyewitnesses, loud explosions were heard from the factory, followed by a plume of black smoke in the sky. There is an atmosphere of fear in the areas around the factory. Efforts are underway to control the fire. Officials say no casualties have been confirmed so far. Further details of the incident are awaited. The administration has appealed to the people to exercise restraint and stay away from the scene.
