Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has summoned a report from the officials of the government on the action taken so far in the cases of conversion in the state. The government has brought a strict law against forced conversion in the state. The CM has also sought details of the action taken under this Act.
The Chief Minister gave these instructions in a meeting of senior officials at his official residence on Thursday. He also stressed on speeding up the identification of suspects. Said that immediate and strict action should be taken on receiving information about suspicious activity or person. He reiterated that while making Aadhar card and other government documents, they should be properly scrutinized and issued only after proper verification. He directed strict action against those issuing wrong documents.
The Chief Minister told the officials that local workers should be given priority in the construction work of government buildings. Also, the cultural identity of the state and traditional mountain architecture should be given prominence in the construction of buildings. He also directed the officials to conduct intensive checking campaigns while strengthening the security system in the border areas of the state. He said that a continuous campaign should be run against corruption. Toll free number 1064 should be widely publicized. He instructed to continue the campaign to free government land from encroachment and to take effective measures to protect the land which has already been freed from encroachment from encroachment again. He said that a detailed assessment of encroachment on enemy properties should also be done and its information should be presented. Principal Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Additional Director General of Police V. Murugeshan, AP Anshuman, Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman, Vice President MDDA Banshidhar Tiwari were present in the meeting.
