Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a virtual meeting with all District Magistrates from Khatima, issuing several key directives regarding the state’s development and security.
The key highlights of the meeting are as follows:
• **Encroachment and Land Laws:** The drive to remove encroachments from government land (including Gram Sabha lands) must be accelerated. Lands purchased in violation of land laws are to be brought under the control of the State Government, and illegal occupations on ‘Enemy Properties’ must be cleared. Waqf properties registered on the ‘Umeed Portal’ should be subjected to regular inspections.
• **Security and Verification:** The arms licenses of individuals arriving from other states must be scrutinized, and those with criminal backgrounds should be identified. Action must be taken against holders of illegal ration cards, and the verification drive should be intensified.
• **Monsoon Preparedness and Basic Amenities:** All preparations for the upcoming monsoon season must be completed in advance; damaged roads should be repaired, and an uninterrupted supply of drinking water and electricity must be ensured. The public should be provided with prior notice regarding any scheduled power outages.
• **Char Dham and Manaskhand Yatras:** There must be regular monitoring and traffic management for the Char Dham Yatra, along with a continuous process of soliciting feedback from pilgrims. Under the Manaskhand Yatra initiative, the construction of the Kainchi Dham Bypass is to be completed by next month.
• **Agriculture and Disaster Management:** The actual benefits of missions related to agriculture and horticulture (such as the Apple and Kiwi Missions) must effectively reach the farmers. In disaster-affected regions—including Joshimath—reconstruction work must be expedited and completed before the onset of the monsoon season.
