During his visit to Khatima, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated various development schemes worth approximately ₹89 lakh within the Block Development Office complex. All these schemes are primarily focused on education, youth empowerment, and the enhancement of public amenities.
Key Projects Inaugurated:
• ‘Didi Ki Library’ (₹55 Lakh): Equipped with modern facilities, this library will provide an environment conducive to students in rural and border areas preparing for competitive examinations. To promote women’s empowerment, the library will be managed by women’s self-help groups, thereby also boosting their income.
• Modern Gymnasium (₹7.50 Lakh): Inspired by the Prime Minister’s ‘Fit India Movement,’ this gymnasium aims to keep the youth away from substance abuse, enhance their physical fitness, and raise awareness regarding the adoption of a healthy lifestyle.
• Block Development Auditorium (₹26.50 Lakh): Modernization works carried out at the Block Auditorium were also formally inaugurated.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is continuously working towards ensuring a bright future for the youth, providing quality education, and building a healthy society. Khatima being his home constituency, efforts for its holistic development will continue unabated. Several local public representatives, the District Magistrate, the Senior Superintendent of Police, and other administrative officials were present on this occasion.
