Principal Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu, chaired a high-level meeting at the Secretariat to review the progress of Packages 2 and 3 of the Char Dham Project. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held with the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) regarding the current status of land acquisition compensation distribution, pending arbitration cases, and ownership disputes.
The Principal Secretary issued clear directives to ensure the mandatory completion of the pending land acquisition process for Packages 2 and 3 within one week. He also ordered that possession of the acquired land be handed over to the executing agency (NHIDCL) within the same timeframe. He warned that failure to complete the work within the stipulated period would result in the concerned officials being held accountable, and strict action would be taken against them in accordance with the rules.
Senior officials from various departments, including Public Works Department Secretary Shri Pankaj Kumar Pandey and the Additional District Magistrate of Chamoli, attended the meeting. This move represents a significant step towards accelerating the pace of the Char Dham Project and resolving obstacles hindering infrastructure development
