Upon learning that teachers and staff employed in the state’s aided private schools had not received their salaries for three months, School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh severely reprimanded departmental officials. He directed the officials to take immediate necessary action to expedite the release of pending salaries, while also issuing a stern warning against repeating such negligence in the future.
Dr. Rawat stated that the state government is fully sensitive to the interests of teachers and employees. He instructed officials to ensure that all pending cases are resolved on a priority basis so that no teacher or employee is compelled to face unnecessary financial hardships. He emphasized that the teaching community constitutes a vital link in nation-building, and the government remains committed to upholding their dignity and ensuring their welfare. Dr. Rawat clarified that any obstacles hindering the timely payment of salaries to teachers and staff in private aided schools would be swiftly resolved to establish a regular and streamlined payment system.
The Education Minister directed officials to expedite the completion of all pending formalitiesโboth at the individual school level and within the departmentโto ensure that salaries are disbursed as soon as possible, thereby providing relief to the teachers and staff. Meanwhile, office-bearers of the Association of Teachers in Private Secondary Schools expressed their gratitude to the departmental Minister, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, for taking cognizance of the matter and issuing directives for the prompt disbursement of salaries. They urged that, much like their counterparts in government schools, the salaries of teachers and staff employed in private aided schools should also be disbursed in a timely manner.

Education Minister Takes Cognizance of School Lacking Building in Mori; Orders Inquiry
School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has taken serious cognizance of news reports published in various newspapers regarding the absence of a school building in Osla village, located within the Mori development block of Uttarkashi district. The reports alleged that a school building has not been constructed in Osla village for the past 15 years. Taking the matter seriously, the Education Minister has directed departmental officials to conduct a detailed inquiry into the entire episode and submit a factual report. In connection with the aforementioned matter, a report submitted to the District Magistrate by the District Education Officer (Basic), Uttarkashi, states that 24 students are currently enrolled at the Government Primary School, Osla, and the school building is in good operational condition. Conversely, the Government Upper Primary School, Osla, currently has only one enrolled student. With the best interests of the students in mind, both schools are currently being operated within the premises of the Government Primary School, Osla. The report further notes that during the financial year 2021-22, a sum of โน3.50 lakh was sanctioned under the District Plan for the repair and painting of the Government Upper Primary School, Osla building; however, the executing agency deemed the allocated funds insufficient. Subsequently, in the year 2022-23, an additional sum of โน1.50 lakh was sanctioned and transferred to the executing agencyโthe Rural Construction Department, Uttarkashi. The executing agency has been directed to complete the aforementioned construction work in a timely manner
