Online registration for the upcoming Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand began today. 1.24 lakh people registered on the first day. Kedarnath Dham recorded the highest number of registrations at 42,405. Meanwhile, Badrinath Dham saw 36,580 pilgrims, Gangotri 22,764 pilgrims, and Yamunotri 22,340 pilgrims. Registrations began at 7 a.m. through the website and mobile app. Offline registration will also be available from April 17th.
It is mandatory for pilgrims traveling on the Chardham Yatra to register. Starting March 6th, they can register on the Tourism Department’s website, registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in, and the mobile app, tourist care uttarakhand.
Indian pilgrims will register using their Aadhaar card, while foreign pilgrims will be provided with an email ID. Offline registrations will begin on April 17th, two days before the start of the Yatra. Registration counters will open at Transit Camp Rishikesh, Rishikul Grounds Haridwar, and Vikasnagar. For the convenience of pilgrims, the toll-free number 0135-1364 will be available 24/7.
