A vehicle fell into a ditch near Kalsi in Vikasnagar. Three people, including a woman, lost their lives in the accident. According to reports, the accident occurred near the Bairatkhai-Gangrou motorway in Kalsi tehsil. Upon receiving information, the administration team arrived at the scene and began rescue operations with local residents.
The utility vehicle lost control and fell into a 50-meter-deep ditch at a location called Viadhar near Gangrou in Kalsi tehsil, within the revenue police jurisdiction. Luso Devi (65), a resident of Gangrou, died on the spot.
Geeta Devi (35), a resident of Kusyau, succumbed to her injuries on the way. Dhanau Devi (53), a resident of Chitad, died while being transported to a higher facility. Five people injured in the accident are undergoing treatment at the Vikasnagar sub-district hospital. Driver Ramesh stated that the accident occurred when the utility vehicle’s rear tire came off. SDM Premlal confirmed that three people were killed and five others injured.
